Why do people care so much about if you have piercings or not?

ok so im 18 and i have 6 piercings and one tattoo how is it not Professional if you have them like it doesn't change your personality or how you work. when i have a job i try my hardest and work my *** off so please explain to me why people in Business field look down upon people like me.
Why do people care so much about if you have piercings or not?
I love how wrestling star gave a retarded *** answer and asked for best answer.
Why do people care so much about if you have piercings or not?
it's sad but it's the truth, people will judge you before meeting you if you look different.
I don't know. I guess they think it frightens off customers or something stupid like that. People are so judgmental. I don't care how you look, if you can get the job done your hired.
Because a human being is like an iceberg. The part of you that works your *** off and is a friekin amazing employee is submerged and cant really be seen by the people around you. The piercings and the tatoo are the only things that are visible and the only things a person can base an opinion of you on in the 5 seconds after meeting you.
Because:

When you were born and growing up, you were always taught that businessmen and the business world looked down upon people with piercings and tattoos.

When you got them anyway, the business world is angry- not so much because of the act of you getting a tattoo, but because you have defied a cultural norm AND, more importantly, you have done an action that boldly states %26quot;I do not care about conformity, I do not listen well to others or listen to common advice, I have an aversion to authority and listening to others, and I defy all that is capitalism and america%26quot;.

That sort of attitude, unfortunately for you, is not the sort of thing business america wants to hear. In retrospect, let me give it to you this way: You had a chance to be normal. You had a chance to not et tattoos or piercings. You knew that getting them would screw you up. YET, you got them anyway, and had some vain selfish hope that SOMEHOW, you would be the one exception where people would say %26quot;hmm you know what? shes different. its OK if SHE has tattoos%26quot;. Unfortunately for you, you were wrong. You are no different. You had a chance to conform and be normal, you decided to rebel, and you are getting what you have bargained for.

====================================

Aside from that, tattoos and piercings scare away clients (and therefore bosses and people who might hire you) because tattoos and piercings are USUALLY worn by the lower rung of western society; therefore they by their very nature imply laziness, unprofessionalism, and a lower standard of work. OK?
kryssy, i'm not judging u here, i'm just gonna try to answer ur question with an experience i had...ok...

years ago when i was still driving truck, i stopped at a truckstop in south eastern michigan. i was very hungry and just wanted food. i went into the restaurant and sat down at a table. a few minutes later, a young girl, prolly 19 came up as my waitress. she stood over me with a pad and pen in her hand...she had no less than 10 studs in her both lips, 5 around each eyebrow, 3 on each side of her nose, a tongue ring so large she honestly couldn't even close her mouth completely....down both arms in tattoo that prolly cost her bookoo bucks to have done, was written %26quot;fu*k all men%26quot; on one arm, and %26quot;kiss my a**%26quot; on the other, both in very large writing that not even a blind man at 40 paces could miss...when i looked at her all i saw was a face full of jewelry and a billboard full of hatred, the person behind all that clutter was not recognizable...truthfully when i saw her, my appetite went south.

not knowing where yours are, and again not judging u personally, but when it comes to personal expression, with some things its better to not be so vain when basing it on a persons chosen profession. in other words, discression is the better part of valor.

while its a bad thing that people judge others by their outward appearance, i must also add that as with everything else, it only takes a few to ruin peoples outlooks towards the rest.

while yours may be very tactful and such, u must admit others who do the same really don't care what they look like...and in business, which is a cutthroat place of employment anyway, they do indeed still frown upon what they consider as negative outward appearances.
no life and that just a person being should not anyone business except the person that sleep with that person
